Andrew B. Kahng received a Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of California at San Diego, La Jolla, CA, USA.

He is a Professor with the Computer Science Engineering Department and the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, University of California at San Diego. His current interests include IC physical design, design-manufacturing interface, combinatorial optimization, and technology roadmapping.
