I am an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Goa since May 31, 2018.

Previously, I was a Research Scientist with the School of Computer Science and Engineering at Nanyang Technological University where I taught undergraduate and graduate courses and conducted research in computing. Even before that, I was a Research Fellow at the Singapore Institute for Neurotechnology (SINAPSE) at the National University of Singapore working with Dr. Garrick Orchard on bio-inspired vision systems.

Prior to the stint at NUS, I was a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering , The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong. Earlier, I obtained my PhD in Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University(NTU), Singapore (thesis submitted Nov’ 2013; thesis defended July 2014).  I graduated with the B.Tech degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Cochin University of Science & Technology (CUSAT), India in April 2007. Thereafter I worked for two(2) years as a Design Engineer with Procsys as part of its FPGA based system design team.

I am also an alumnus of the first batch of Singapore Stanford Bio-Design Innovation Class.
